Sanctuary Fighting back the darkness with style.

Welcome, I'm glad to see you. Without you, the user, there would be no point to this site. I hope that Sanctuary will become a thriving, active community, and I invite you to contribute to the content of this site.

There are four categories of users here.

The first is the authenticated user. This just means that your e-mail address works, and you have a username and password.
Authenticated users may post in the Forums, write a blog, may add comments to articles and blogs, and may vote in polls.

After five or so (subject to change) quality forum posts or blog entries, you may become a trusted user. Trusted users may create polls and book pages to add to our growing colection of lore and fan-fiction. They may edit only thier own pages. Inapropriate material will be removed and the author warned (I'll explain why it was removed, and give you a chance to argue your case unless it gets out of hand. I'm a fair person). Three such warnings will result in the removal of trused privliges.

Moderator status can be gained once the admins get to know and trust a user. Any admin can nominate a user for Moderator status, and all the Admins will vote. I reserve the right to veto, but I hope I will never have to use it. Moderators will have the ability to edit all articles, and will be responsible for policing and managing the forums, in addition to all of the powers they had at lower levels.

Admin status will only be granted by me to people who have demonstrated their trustworthiness and ability to lead (and hopefully with some knowledge of how to work things around here).

At some point I may loosen or tighten these rules. I would love to allow everyone to be able to add to or edit articles, like a wiki-type community, and once there are enough users that can be trusted to help police the articles for vandalism I may try that.

I am working on putting together contact forms, but until that happens, please feel free to post any questions or suggestions in the announcement forum.

The puropse of this site is to give fans of the hunter genre a place to gather and share fan fiction, post blogs, chat, and even role-play. If you would like to have a forum created for a role-play or interactive story, please let me know (post in the announcement forum until I get the request forms made).

Fan fiction will also be posted by request, all you need to do is drop me an e-mail (jinx@sanctuary.frih.net) and we'll work together to get it posted. I don't have a procedure for it yet, and I'm looking for a ginea pi, er, volunteer for the first story so I can work the kinks out of the system. Make them sexy if you like, but, please, no rape scenes, incest, or under age sex. Most anything elses goes, but there will be a rating system to help readers choose stories at their comfort level.

The layout of the knowledge base should be pretty self-explanatory. I have broken the Library in to subtopics, and articles should be linked under the proper headings. Those with Trusted status will see an option under each article to "create child page" This is what you will use to add to an existing article, create a subtopic under an article, or add a new article under the correct topic or subtopic.
