Setting the scene

The Pub (nicknamed The War Room because of all the hunts that have been planned out and strategized here over cold beers) is in the transept wing of the church across from the library. It may seem sacreligious to some to see part of a church turned into a bar, but Helen realized that hunters, being a stressed-out bunch, need someplace to cool off and relax. She figures that, considering the good we do, God would forgive a little drinking.
It's really more a place to relax and catch up, share information, network, plan, and tell tall tales about the big one that got away (or didn't get away). Most hunters, the best ones anyway, don't get too drunk. Staying sharp is just too much a part of staying alive.
The Pub is small, cozy. There are booths, well spaced for privacy, along the western wall, and a long bar lined with stools along the eastern wall. A few smaller tables are scattered here and there, and an ancient jukebox stands against the far wall next to an emergency exit. The jukebox is mostly loaded with heavy metal from the 70's and 80's (what one hunter tends to refer to as 'Mullet Rock') with a little Johnny Cash and Rob Zombie mixed in for variety.
The tables are scarred, and a little wobbley. The darts are missing from the dart-board (play is free if you have your own). But the place is homey and welcoming, despite the stone walls and half-covered stained glass.
As a joke, someone has placed a sharpened wooden stake in a glass box on the wall with the words, "Break in case of Vampire Attack" written across it in white-out.
